Veronique Léger, daughter of Pierre Jacques Léger and Marie Madeleine Haché, was born about 1776 in Memramcook in the British colony of Nova Scotia (today: Memramcook, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada).[1]
She married François Cormier about 1800. They had the following children:
Veronique died on September 8, 1847 was and was buried two days later in Bouctouche, Kent county, New Brunswick Colony (today: Bouctouche, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada)[2][3]. The age given on her burial record was 71 years.
Research Notes
At the baptism of Veronique's son Joseph on August 3, 1806, the godfather was Joseph Léger, her brother, and the godmother was Anastasie Léger, her sister. On the same day, Veronique's nephew Fidèle Léger was baptized and Veronique was his godmother.
