Biography
I began my search for ancestors over 40 years ago. AT the time there was just beginning to be computers and the information was dug up out of libraries, land records, and Censuses. Paper and pen progressed to Family Tree program then Ancestry.Com. Just now (2020) getting on Wikitree.
I have 40+ years of research on Leggitt/Leggett/LeGette families and various spellings variations. At one point I found 16 different spellings in the same deed.
I have slightly less information on my Maternal side, the Ellis family.

The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." To get the best results, continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to ancestors already in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, it can sometimes help to add what you know on another line. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.

Since you uploaded a GEDCOM, I wanted to give you the link to the GEDCOM help pages. The GEDCOM will not automatically populate your tree, it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting suggested matches with existing profiles at WikiTree. One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
