Hi Roberta,

Thanks for your contributions to Puritan Great Migration (PGM) project profiles.

Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members periodically to find out about their continued interest in the project. Would you please respond by February 12, 2024, to let us know about your interest:

1. Would you like to continue as a PGM project team member?;

2. Do you have any suggestions for PGM Project priorities in the next year (optional)?;

3. Do you have interest in taking a more active role within the PGM project, and if so, what you might be interested in doing (optional)?

Please respond to this comment on your profile, or if you'd like, send a private message to either Bobbie (Madison) Hall or S (Hill) Willson.

Thanks for all you do for PGM and WikiTree!

Regards,

Bobbie and Sharon, Co-Leaders, Puritan Great Migration Project

I assume you are descended from Jared Farrand, the son of Thomas Farrand (~1710-????) of Palmer, MA. If so you might have interest in the current confusions surrounding his parentage and his marriages. The evidence says that he came over from Londonderry, Ireland in 1718, ending up in Palmer shortly after that. However, Family Search has his parents being born in MA. I believe he married first Joanna Allis, who died giving birth to Benoni in 1731. However, Family Search has her alive at a later date married to (1) our Thomas's father and (2) Aaron Smith Sr. Our Thomas' father is called the grandson of early immigrant Nathaniel. Can you help clear up any of this?

Hi Roberta!

Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members twice per year and it's that time again. Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

  1. If you'd like to continue as a PGM project team member. I've noticed that you haven't posted any edits or comments in the last 6 months to PGM profiles so it might be a good time to re-evaluate your likely participation level in the future.
  2. If you're happy with the team you're on (Research and/or Profile Improvement) or if you'd like to make a change
  3. Optionally, what you like since the reboot back in May or what you think could be improved. This could be something about Discord, or Google Groups, or managed profile spreadsheets, or challenge participation or really anything. If you like everything the way it is, you can let me know that too :)

If you'd like to tell me about a particular project or family you're working on, I'd love to hear about that as well.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks!

Brad Stauf, PGM membership coordinator

Hi Brad! Thanks for the note. Yes, I would like to remain involved. Although I have not entered data on PGM people over the past while, I am definitely active working on these lines, albeit more recent ancestors (people descended from them). I do note that I need to go back and follow up on my commitment there, and hope you will keep me in so I can! Thanks, Roberta

Thanks for letting me know of your continued interest Roberta, we're happy that you want to stay with the PGM team.

Whatever work you're able to contribute at your own pace is fine, every little bit helps. Have a good afternoon! Brad

The record for Eleazer Johnson https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johnson-66153 shows his son's wife as married to him. I don't have a lot of information on Hannah (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pearson-10592) but I do have the record from Find A Grave. The spouse is listed as Eleazer Jr rather than Eleazer.

Apologies for stumbling into your wikitree backyard. Speaking of revolutionary SAGEs, Sage-1394 is 2nd ggf of my maternal step-grandmother Hubbell-1195 (and my 4C6R on my paternal side)

Cool! Which Sage is that? Are we related somehow? Thanks for the merge.

Wikitree says we're 8th cousins, by yet another route. Oren Sage is a direct ancestor of my step grandmother who is double 2nd cousin of my grandmother, but that's a distant Sage connection from me if going by biological relationships.

Hi hun,

In responce to your post on Allen Sage's profile, I am sorry I am unable to search that right now. I do not have the correct knowlege currently. I will gladly check into that if you have not found the links on the tree before I can.

Thanks Roberta for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Roberta,

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!

Click here to start with our New Member How-To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
