Biography

My hobby is genealogy. I've been doing it a long time. I love going through old records and reading what happened to my ancestors and their neighbors. It gives a lot more meaning to history.

Deb,

Thank you for again contributing to the Sourcerers Challenge in January! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.

Good evening fellow Team Missouri teammate!

Since Eowyn provided the major links in her email, I'm dropping by with the other main one you'll need. This will take you to the state links for the suggestions that need to be fixed.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_Errors_By#East_North_Central  Click on the state you want to work on and it will bring up a huge chart of suggestions. If you have any question about how things work or if there's any issues, drop a note in the Team chat or PM me.     And the most important thing is...have fun!

Go Team MO!!

Hi, Deb!

Thank you for your participation in October 2020’s Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.

Keep up the great work!

Hi D,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

You’re welcome. Thank you for testing as well! You should have some Altizer matches on MyHeritage as well. It’s free to upload your results. I did.

Hi D.,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like the US History Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag United_States_History will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
