Biography

Fenris is the second child of Tom Aarons-131 and Jen Pierce-13345. (Tyler being the first) Fen grew up in Oregon. He enjoys cats, the color blue, and collecting random toys/knicknacks you can fiddle with.

I'm still currently learning how to use this site. I'm hoping to start the One Name Study for the Aarons family tree. I want to get better at citing sources/formatting profiles before I go to deep though. I know the sources are there, but finding the correct way to link them/digging to the actual original link to the source can be challenging. I won't be using any paid services for sourcing though.

Random people this site says I'm related to:

A lot of the information I'm going off of was first recorded by my mom. I also found a website that has some more info on my dads side, and that has helped me tremendously. Here's a link to that site.

  • I commonly source things from familysearch, but only if the profile has several documents actually attached. If I have edited/added a profile and don't have time to finish it, I will just link the familysearch link to it for later editing/So I don't lose my place.

If I have added you/someone you are related to, please reach out to me! Even if you don't want to responsibility of being the page manager, I'd love to add any information you have to profiles.

Only the Trusted List can access the following:
  • Fen's formal name
  • full middle name (F.)
  • nicknames
  • e-mail address
  • exact birthdate
  • birth location
  • images (1)
  • private siblings' names
  • private children's names (1)

Hi! Are you interested in participating in this year's Spring Clean-a-thon on April 23? We would appreciate all the help we can get even if you only have a moment to clear a few errors. If you are interested you can sign up on the following link, let them know you want to be on Team Nordic Noir:

Hi

The GEDCOM will not automatically populate your tree, it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting suggested matches. Once you have done this the data from your file will be filled in on the add profile screen so that you can review and make adjustments before saving.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

Hello Fen,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Welcome to WikiTree, Fen. You are all set as a confirmed member of WikiTree now. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the New Member How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know. You can use the "reply" link under this comment or click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.
