Biography
Birth
Odilia was born on the 30th of July 1901, in Utrecht, the third oldest child of Antonie Cornelis de Nijs and Odilia Fritz[1].
The translation of her birth certificate reads as follows:
On this twentieth day of July, nineteen hundred and one, we, the undersigned, Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages of the city of Utrecht, appeared in the House of the Municipality:
Antonie Cornelis de Nijs, railroad official, twenty-nine years of age, residing at Weteringstraat 24, who declared to us, that on the 30th of this month at six o'clock his lawful wife Odilia Fritz, without profession, gave birth at his residence to a child of the female gender, who shall be given the first names Odilia Hendrika Josephina.
This declaration was made in the presence of Johannes Veldhuizen, aged sixty-six years, and Jan Tjabring, aged sixty-one years, messenger, both living here, of which we have taken up this deed and read it to the declarant and the witnesses, who have signed with us.

She passed away on the 6th of September, 1901, at the age of seven days[3].

On this day the seventh day of September, nineteen hundred and one, appeared before us, undersigned, Officer of the Civil Registry of the city of Utrecht, in the House of the Municipality:
Gerardus Jacobus van den Hoek, undertaker's assistant, aged twenty-seven years and Jacob Valk, messenger, aged fifty-one years both living here, who declared to us that on the sixth of this month, in the morning at seven o'clock, in the age of one month within this city deceased:
Odilia Hendrika Josephina de Nijs, born in Utrecht, daughter of Antonie Cornelis de Nijs, workman and Odilia Fritz, without profession, both living in Utrecht at the Weteringstraat 24.
