Biography
Birth
Antonie was born on the 1st of August, 1902, in Utrecht[1]. He was the oldest son of Antonie Cornelis de Nijs and Odilia Fritz.
The translation of the birth certificate reads as follows:
On this day the first of August, nineteen hundred and two, appeared in the House of the Municipality in Utrecht for us, the undersigned, Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages:
Antonie Cornelis de Nijs, railroad official, thirty years of age, residing at Weteringstraat 24, who declared to us, that on the first of this month at five o'clock in the morning his lawful wife Odilia Fritz, without profession, gave birth at his residence to a child of the male gender, which child shall be given the first names Antonie Cornelis.
This declaration was made in the presence of Johannes van Englenburg, aged fifty-four years, and Jan Tjabring, aged sixty-two years, messengers, both residing here, of which we have taken up this deed and read it to the declarant and the witnesses, who have signed with us.

Death
He passed away on the 3rd of September, 1902, in Utrecht - at the age of one month[3].
The translation of his death certificate reads as follows:
On this day the fourth day of September, nineteen hundred and two, we, the undersigned, Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages of the city of Utrecht, in the municipal register appeared:
Benjamin van Steenwijk, undertaker's assistant, aged thirty-six years and Johannes van Engelen, messenger, aged fifty-five years both residing here, who declared to us that on the third of this month, at nine o'clock in the morning, at the age of one month died here:
Antonie Cornelis de Nijs, born in Utrecht, son of Antonie Cornelis de Nijs, railroad official and Odilia Fritz, without occupation, both living in Utrecht at the Weteringstraat 24.
