Biography

Jan was baptized in Oude Niedorp, but his parents lived in Nieuwe Niedorp.

Jan Corn Sluijs from Zwaagdijk Wervershoof married Maartje Jacobs from Zwaag in Zwaag November 26, 1730. Jan made profession of faith there on March 1 1731, and he appears on a list of people who made profession of faith by himself. They then vanish from Zwaag records.

Jan is not mentioned in the stories of Cornelis Gerritsz Sluys' book Vrije Westfriezen I. The book treats the family as if Jan's brother Cornelis was the only child of their parents.
