Hello, Dennis! I was wondering if you might know if the Cornelius Sly on your side might be the one that lived in Brown County, Ohio. My cousin found a record of our ancestors that mentions Cornelius being sold land by Levi and Hannah Tucker.

Describe The Record (Notes) Brown County, Ohio, Deed Book I9, p. 154

13 March 1831 Levi Tucker of Brown County, Ohio, to Cornelius Sly of Clermont Count, Ohio, for $100, 45 acres in Brown County [metes and bounds] on Solomons Rund adjacent James Bealys Survey No. 1415, Clayppol & Hulls Survey No. 2559. Signed: Levi Tucker, Hannah (X her mark) Tucker Witness Jacob Claypool, Joseph (X his mark) Tucker 6 April 1831 acknowledged before Jacob Claypool, JP

Heidi,

Yes this is very likely my 2nd great-granduncle. He the brother of my 2nd great grandfather John B Sly. John lived in Clearmont county, Ohio which is next to Brown county, Ohio. I found this person on FamilySearch: Can you please provide me with the record so I can add it as a source?

Thank you very much for reaching out to me!

Cornelius Sly

I noticed you removed William Beavers as the father of Thomas Marion Seldon Beavers. Why do you think this is incorrect? This is my direct ancestor line and was curious to see what you’ve found that would change it. (I do believe William Beavers birthday should be 1746 instead of 1766.)

Hi Dennis,

I notice that you've created quite a few pre-1700 profiles without sources. Please remember that sources are required for these early ancestors. In Virginia's note to you below, she has included a link to Pre-1700 Reliable Sources. Please be sure to cite reliable sources for the profiles you have added/edited so far, as well as any profiles you change or add in the future.

Thank you, S Willson WikiTree Arborist

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
