G2G: Sidney L Gibbs (1834 - 1915) Civil War Veteran?

Question

We would like collaboration in determining if he served in the U.S. Civil War and if he did serve adding sources and honoring a civil war veteran. Any help in his genealogy is appreciated.

The 1910 U.S. Census of Waushara, Hancock County, Wisconsin lists Sidney L.
