I only see Joseph listed on the 1900 census, one son list his fathers name as Edgar not Joseph so maybe looking for a Joseph Edgar Blackston or Blackstone, one son listed on death certificate as last name Blaxton, by the time the 1910 census was out his wife Janie Blackston was head of house.

I do see a Blackiston-32 Joseph Blackstone on a 1860 census listed his birth as Maryland

I tried looking for a death record for a Joseph or Edgar Blackstone on both Ancestry and FamilySearch, but all I found was a Joseph John Blackstone who died in the 1940s and the death record for son that you already mentioned.

Good luck in your research and happy new year!

This is kind of messy and I haven't searched guardian records yet, but look at this:

https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/search-records/G9LX-PHM

Lucinda Wynn (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/family/L4BX-C3Q) was married 3 times. Following census records, if this is him, he might actually have been born Joseph E. Green and adopted by John T. Blackstone. JT was Lucinda's second husband. 1880 census has a Green Blackstone living in Webster Co, KY.

Ok Crystal Stevenson I appreciate your help.

I just found his marriage record to Janie Todd, his name is under Joseph Green

Ok Great so I need to change LNB right

I'm not sure. I would def put "Green" at least as "also known as". Honestly, I'm  not sure of the requirements, because all of his children/descendants used Blackstone as well.

Were you able to see him on family search?

Yes I seen the information you shared.
