Erastus A. Miner (two marriage records) is it the same man?

Two 1847 marriage records for Erastus A. Miner (born 1824?, Bozrah, Connecticut).  I suspect that the first record is the actual marriage, and then he decided to have it recorded back in his hometown later that year?  However, the first one says wife Martha Burke and the second one says wife Matilda Buck.  Did the second record just get the wife's name wrong?  See weblinks to the two marriage records below.

Erastus Miner (Miner-2379) was born 11 Apr 1795 in New London, CT. He married Margaret Siver. He was the son of Elisha Miner.

Erastus A(Avery) Miner was born 20 Jul 1824 in Bozrah, New London, CT. He married Matilda Buck 17 Dec 1847 in Bozrah. He was the son of Daniel T. Miner.

There are several Erastus Miners in the New London area. Big family I would imagine with several brothers/cousins naming their sons Erastus. Perhaps a common family name. i.e. Erastus D. Miner, born 1830 New London, married Jane Breed. Erastus P. Miner, born 1810 New London, married Lucretia Meech. Erastus B. Miner, born 1812 New London, married Phoebe Lord. Erastus C Miner born 1841 New London, married Amelia Archanbauth. These men were probably all related.

Therefore, it could be entirely possible that there was another Erastus who married Martha Burke.

I still find it a bit hard to believe that there were two men named Erastus A. Miner in Bozrah, that they were both married in 1847 to women both born in East Haddam, and that their names were so similar (Martha Burke and Matilda Buck).  Quite a coincidence if it is true.    By the way, I've discovered that Erastus Miner born 1795 (Miner-2379), son of Elisha Miner, did not marry Margaret Siver.  She was married to Erastus Miner born 1796, son of Jesse Miner.

I just saw this G2G question and decided to see what I could find out quickly/initially was by no means a deep study, but it could be a place to start for whoever wants to dig into it, as Kenneth is doing.

And on we go...

Leila, thank you for the star.

Erastus, born 1824, is the son of Daniel Miner (Minerd) and Susanna Vergason.  They lived off of what is now Caroline Road in Bozrah, just south of the town center. Daniel is a descendant of William Maynard, who turned Minerd and later at the Revolution, Miner. They are different from the Thomas Minor Society, despite some intermarriages. This Erastus was one of thirteen children.

Further research now shows that Martha M. Burke did exist and married three times.  I found her third husband (Joseph Kingsley) and her death date and death place.  On the other hand, is there any proof that Matilda Buck is a real person (or did someone incorrectly hear the name Martha Burke as Matilda Buck for the December 1847 record)?

I found a findagrave entry for Martha (Burke) Miner-Ford-Kingsley.  It mistakenly lists her maiden name as Miner, but I left a note in the flower section noting the error.  After a lengthy search, I have found no records for a Matilda Buck except that December 1847 record (which I still think was a mistake for Martha Burke).  Also have found no other candidates for Erastus A. Miner other than the one born in 1824 at Bozrah.  Without evidence to the contrary, I conclude that Matilda Buck was just a mistake for Martha Burke (both are the same age and both said to have been born in East Haddam), and only one Erastus Miner at Bozrah.  Many marriages in New England were recorded in both the town of the bride and also in the town of the groom.

Findagrave entry for Martha (Burke) Miner-Ford-Kingsley (Erastus Miner presumably died between 1847 and 1852 since Martha married second husband Sherwood Ford in 1852):  https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/90660288/martha-m-kingsley
