G2G: Mary Loughrey (1833 - 1887) a Civil War family of New York

Mary was born in 1833. She was the daughter of Robert Loughrey and Mary Willard. She passed away in 1887.

I can’t find her burial or grave info but seems her siblings are buried in what their obits describe as the “New Cemetery”?

Was She married? The census reports seem to indicate never married and no kids no mention of a divorce. She is the only sibling we can’t seem to find many sources about but maybe she has an obit I overlooked?

Any collaboration is appreciated in this New York U.S. Civil War family

Note: All her brothers served valiantly in the New York Regiments

Interesting all siblings mentioned in her fathers will. It appears she never married

I also suspect that she was not married and didn't have any children.

The biography of her brother James W. Loughrey in the Commemorative Biographical Record of the Wester Shore of Green Bay Wisconsin (Chicago, Illinois: J.H. Beers & Co.; 1896), p. 630, lists all of her siblings with, in the case of her sister, her sister's husband's surname, but just says that she died in 1884.  Not definitive, but it seems likely she would been have been listed similiarly.

P.S.  It's pretty telling that she was listed in the 1870 Census and the 1880 Census with her parents with her birth surname.
