G2G: Church registers of Hofen, branch of Mühlhausen, Stuttgart, Germeny

Question

I am trying to locate the church registers of Hofen, a branch (Filiale) of Mühlhausen, Dekanat Besigheim. (Today, Hofen is a part of Stuttgart, of course.) I am working with ancestry.com, which is a bit of an adventure at the best of times, because the names of the collections are -- shall we say -- idiosyncratic, but this one has me thoroughly stumped because the names are so common. Specifically, I am looking for a Barbara Widehold (or variant spelling of the last name), who is supposed to have been born in Hofen in 1709 (died in Wangen, Stuttgart, on 25 Sep 1771, at the age of 66). Can anyone help?

The records above are catholic. Lutheran baptisms should be reported in the church books of Mühlhausen (available on www.archion.de). I had a quick look at them but could not find a baptism for her in 1709. https://www.archion.de/p/46ad8a593e/

Thank you both. As Manuela says, I am looking for protestant records. (Unfortunately I do not have an account on archion.) I have meanwhile found a marriage record in Stuttgart-Wangen, where she is named as the widow of one Jacob Metz, Beisitzer und Tagloehner in (Stgt)-Berg, with the parenthetical remark that the Registry of Souls from 1769 has more details. The diocese of Stuttgart, however, is a dog's breakfast on ancestry.com, as they make no distinction between Stiftskirche, Heslach, Gablenberg, Degerloch, etc. These are the places I have worked with so far, but I have not come across the registers from Berg yet. I am working on cataloguing the collections as I come across new items in my research, but it is horrendously slow.

There seems to be something wrong with the records. Barbara Widehold married Johann Leonhard Eybächer (Eybächer-1) in (Stuttgart-)Wangen in 1760. There are no children until 1771, when she was supposedly 62 years old. Unfortunately, I cannot verify anything through the records I have accessed to though ancestry.com online. I will put research notes in Eybächer's profile and move on for the time being.
