I have long suspected there was a Blackard-Self marriage in colonial NC so I have collected literally dozens of Self citations from 1750-1800 from my research in the NC State Archives & NC State Library that i would be glad to pass along. So far nobody that i have profile-messaged has expressed any interest.
Note: There are obviously multiple men with the same names like Job Self and Willoughby Self in these records that would need to be parsed out, so I cannot directly insert them into existing profiles given my limited knowledge of the Self family.
BTW, I suspect that my ancestor Charles Blackard b.1710-1730 may have married a daughter (or sister) of Job Self I and she named her sons Willoughby Blackard and Job Blackard after Willoughby Self and Job Self. Her other son Charles Blackard II posted the marriage bond for Frances Self and Job Blackard named a daughter after her. Charles Blackard Ii and Job Self II appear to have been next-door neighbors. Seems like a lot of smoking guns.
