This month, we celebrate 22 remarkable women mountaineers and rock climbers from around the world—trailblazers whose courage, endurance, and determination carried them to extraordinary heights.
From Marie Paradis, the first woman to reach the summit of Mont Blanc in 1808, to Barbara Washburn, the first woman to climb Denali in 1947, these women pushed boundaries in places where few women had gone before. Their stories are dramatic, inspiring, and often harrowing—and they deserve to be told.
Will you help us to bring their stories to life and transform their profiles into a Shining Stars of WikiTree.
Remember, no contribution is too small, so jump in wherever you think you'll have the most fun. We need the help of BioBuilders, Sourcerers, DataDoctors, Categorizers, PhotoFinders, Formatters, Proofreaders and more. For those who prefer research over profile building, we also want to increase each of our notables' CC7s, and of course we want to make sure each is connected to the big Tree.
And don't forget to drop us a note here to let us know what you're working on.
