G2G: Are there any descendents of Norman W Sykes who died in the Battle of the Somme and who lived in Deddington Oxfordshire

I have bought a poppy in commemoration of the Battle of the Somme centenary - one poppy was made for for every man who died on the first day of the battle, using shell fuses found on the battlefield (19,240 men died.) My soldier is Norman W. Sykes who was born in Lyme Kilns North Aston, Deddington, Oxfordshire and his parents were Henry and Martha Sykes  I would like to find any relations of this family to tell them we will be framing his details and will honour his memory within our family.

I see a birth record from 1897, and then a few other Sykes in the same area around 1920-30, including a couple of Normans. Obviously not his children but quite likely nephews.

This is the son of his brother John Percival Sykes . It appears that he had at least two living children at the time of his death. Perhaps you can find his obit & track down his children:

Hi Henry was my Grandfathers brother so Norman is my first cousin three times removed, my Grandfather also died on the Somme on the first of July. Norman is actually remembered in Deddington
