I found out that major Wm Soule-Sowles and father Ezekiel Soule's match my Y-DNA. So how could Timothy Soule be William's father?

Hello William, It will be easier to answer your question if you provide links to the relevant profiles and a source for the information you have found.

I'm not an expert on DNA (I'm retagging the question with DNA) but since Timothy and Ezekiel are both descendants of George Soule, their YDNA should be the same and match both Major William's and yours.

.Maj. William Soule is not the son of Ezekiel Soule

Hi there, Y-DNA  is the parternal line only and is passed from FATHER TO SON. Where as MITOCHONDRIAL DNA is passed through the maternal line and mother to son. I hope this clears this up.
