Thanks for the valuable contribution to Johann Friedrich Süss (abt.1771-). It is not unusual to find conflated profiles and confused locations. Kay, Züllichau-Schwiebus, Brandenburg, Preussen is now Kije, Zielona Góra, Lubusz in Poland.

I am sure that I am more interested in this story than you. Johann Friedrich Süss migrated on the Danish ship 'Zebra'. It was one of 4 ships carrying Lutheran religious dissenters to South Australia. Also the first migration ship to carry a foreign (that is non-British) flag to Port Adelaide. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Zebra_Passenger_list_1837

You have added useful information for me to follow. Cheers, Steve.

You see I just check if Süss is related to the Süss from Elsass I have in my family... so if I see anything I can add. I do so...

Hi, this migration category has a red parent category that needs to be created. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Migrants_from_Prussia_to_Rio_Grande_do_Sul

Thanks, regards, Margaret, Categorization Project

Finally figurred out how to create the parent... was to late when I created the lower level... Thanks for reminding.
Hello, I added those to spaces to the Rhineland-Palatine list at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Rhineland-Palatine_Team . I assume this is what you are pointing to, since they belong to Rhein-Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz. Thanks for informing.
Yes, Alexandra, indeed i was pointing to Rheinland-Pfalz, where both of these Rheinhessen towns are located. Thankyou!
Du bist eine so hilfsbereite Person!

Hab 1000 Dank!

Hi Alexanda-Bridgitte,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Germany Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Hello Cheryl, Thank you for asking.

Actual I had one question appear yesterday: is there a possible tagging such that a image of another website can be displayed in the biography? Best wishes to you ABS

Hi Alexandra-Brigitte,

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Have fun

PS There is a tool that can help with cleaning up GEDCOM created biographies. It lets you concentrate on the genealogy rather than the formatting. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Welcome Alexandra-Brigitte, and thank you for upgrading, 😊

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

Happy tree climbing

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter
