DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Pierre by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA test-takers in his direct paternal line.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Amirault-449 and Amirault-81 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same spouse Marie Brun, same daughter Théotiste. Dates are way off. Since Théotiste was born in 1732, her father could not have been born that same year, and Marie could not have been born after her daughter. No other couple with those names were found during this period. Correct date for Pierre is 1699, and for Marie 1708.
