After my fun with West Virginia records and a successful connection for Morgan Spurlock I moved on to Brad Paisley, who is from the same area of West Virginia. I got stuck, took a break, came back and looked at his wife Kimberly WIlliams-Paisely's family, which I had been avoidlng because of the annoyance of wading through all the possible matches for people with a common last name like Williams.
But lo and behold, her paternal line is full of uncommon first names, and boom! Kimberly's great-grandfather was listed in the wedding announcement for his sister, who married Baltzar de Maré, who was described as being from a prominent Swedish family. Sure enough, there were many de Marés already in Wikitree. A quick email to Christian Morling, keeper of those profiles, and we had a link, after finding just 6 people in Kimberley's family!
Baltzar, his great-great-neice Kimberly, and Kimberley's husband Brad aren't showing up as connected yet, but Baltzar's grandfather Jakob de Maré is34 degrees from AJ.
