G2G: Who were Mary Pinckney's parents (abt. 1766(

Question

Dutch Reform Church records of New Hackensack, Dutchess County, NY, show that David Algee and Mary Pinckney are parents of son John baptized January 1792.  Marriage records for this church for the few years before 1792 are missing.  There are no mentions of either Mary Pinckney or David Algee in the records of this church, which go back to 1765,  There are several Pinckney families in Dutchess county at this time.  I think she belongs to one of them, but haven't been able to link her up with any.  (I don't know where David came from either; I'm hoping that if I find Mary's origin, that might give me some idea about where to look further for him.)  In general, I'm thinking that the Pinckney families of Dutchess county probably came up from Eastchester, in Westchester County.

The Pinckney family did live in Westchester county NY, in the town of Eastchester for several generations. Originally from Wiltshire, England.

Possibly look at the children and grandchildren of Thomas Pinckney Pinckney-143.

Thank you.  I've checked out Thomas Pinckney 143 and I don't see any link.  

That said, there is a Mary Pinckney born to Gilbert Pinckney and Jane Lampton in 1766 in Durham, England.  I have seen a pedigree that claims that she is the Mary Pinckney who married David Algee.  But she would have to have left her family behind and come over by herself at some point, and I haven't found that point yet.

I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but the area we now call Putnam County, New York (Between Dutchess and Westchester was considered Dutchess county before 1812. That could affect where you're looking.  Have you looked at Settlers of the Beekman Patent?
