The Murder of James Mathewson at Drumquin 1824

I am trying to determine if Mr. James Mathewson of Kilmore is James Mathewson of Kirlish b 1766. This would make him 58 when he was murdered after being robbed of rent collections for ? Ecklin, Esq.
Any help would be appreciated.

This Family Search profile (LLWH-2M1) is clearly the same James Mathewson of Kirlish (not Kilmore) in my question. His death is reported as 1836 (not 1824), although it is not sourced. This information is repeated in numerous family trees. So, apparently these two James' are not the same person unless we can attribute a different death date for James of Kirlish.

It's hard to tell, They could be the same. I would add the link and add some text about possible being  the same person but more research is required.
