G2G: Who is the real father of William Walker McIntire?

Question

I currently have a lot of  verifiable sources  confirming that he is my 3rd great grandfather. He was married in Champaign Co. Ohio. He moved to Berrien Co. Michigan and bought a land grant around 1835.  He lived and farmed there until his death in 1856. I have not found any verifiable proof of where he was born, who his parents or siblings were. His tombstone verifies that he was born in 1800. I have been able to rule out some other McIntire families that were thought to be his ancestors. I could use some help on what path I should take next. Thanks
