G2G: Larkin Washington Hooper (1841 - 1915) Haywood and Jackson County, North Carolina, how many wife’s did he have

This profile had one wife listed when I got to it, also on Find A Grave Memoral mentioned a wife and the death certificate of one daughter mentioned another wife sources needed on these children and wife’s.  Thanks for any help.

Two children with different mothers William A Hooper has the second wife of Larkin as his mother, and Margaret Jane (Hooper) Creamer, has first wife of Larkin as mother,  I have William A. Hooper as the oldest. so something isn’t right here 

another question is why is his name listed as Lem Washington Hooper on death certificate was this a nick name.

I would help more but I got a new recipe cooking - collard greens, apple slices and hog jowl bacon, all fried together, and the recipe suggests apple cider and brown mustard blend to lightly sauce when done - if you don't hear from me later, I died happy
