G2G: Jacques Landais 1700 France

I'm looking to find the names of the parents for Jacques Landais born around 1702 in France

He immigrated to Canada ; established in Quebec

Married Charlotte Lord on March 1 1734 in Montreal Quebec

had 7 or 8 children.

The marriage source doesn't appear to have his parents listed.

There may be a source on Ancestry - UK but i'm unable to retrieve or look at it ; and probably wouldn't be able to read the writing.

Any help is appreciated ;

Thanks again

There seems to be two profiles already for him, both sourced to nosorigines.qc.ca, with conflicting information: Landais-5 and Riviere-60. They are married to two sisters both named Charlotte but with variations on their last name. Before looking for parents in France, the Canadian info needs to be checked.

Ok I would say that Landais-5 is my guy

Married Charlotte Lord born 1708

Her sister Marie Charlotte was born 1715 and married a Jacques Rivière born 1702

I didn’t do any of the research ... that’s just was linked into my tree already on FamilySearch ...

Jacques Rivière has parents linked already from that last name Rivière dit Lariviere

Jacques Landais doesn’t have parents

I don’t know where to go from here ... as I’m not a historian

According to what’s already there ... Charlotte Lord remarried 33 years later to Claude Guillmin

I’ll check out Landais -5  and see what’s there ....

So Landais-5 is the same Landais and source I found earlier but still no parents names ....

I’m on the right track ... just don’t know where to find the right information ...

Jacques and Charlotte would be my 6th great-grandparents ....

it’s definitely way out there for genealogy purposes but every little information I read it’s always sooo interesting ....
