Hi Willem, what a great find ! Considering the circumstantial evidence, I think this one Dirk Dekker is the best candidate. The funny thing is that the "signature" actually puts me off a bit. Now, I am no handwriting expert but it would have been so much better if the D's had been neat capitals and the k's would have had the "drop". Having said that, the facts that he was born in 1808 as the son of one Hendrik Dekker and a basketmaker on the Anjeliersgracht (now the Westerstraat) which runs parallel to the Anjeliersstraat (connected by the Raamgang from gracht 138 to straat 72/73) where Alida Theijsmeijer lived, makes him the best candidate for the job of being the father of Alida Dekker. Thanks ever so much !!
Will close this question now since I am convinced this is best the answer one can find.
