I am working on another New York historic figure.  Luis Moses Gomez was a Spanish born Jew who came to New York in the early 1700's, obtained naturalization from Queen Anne, and developed a trading business in what is now Marlboro, New York.  His upstate home is now a museum.

He interests me because of a personal connection to the Marlboro site and because he would have been co-resident in the area with my seventh great grandfather, the mysterious https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Raalje-1 .

See here for more information on this fascinating early New Yorker and his family. https://www.gomez.org/gomez-pages-2017/gomez.html , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luis_Moises_Gomez .

I would like to work with anybody interested in this family.

There is apparently as just-published biography of him, The Remarkable Life of Luis Moses Gomez https://www.amazon.com/Remarkable-Life-Luis-Moses-Gomez/dp/0998254525.

Thank you, Roger, for the link.  It's a 38 page pamphlet.  I believe this fascinating character deserves a real scholarly biography.  So many post New Netherland, pre-revolutionary New York individuals, who were important figures are not adequately documented.
