Who was Dr. Joseph Augustine Bondurant, a founder of the Bondurant family in Virginia ?

It is generally agreed that Jean Pierre Bondurant and his wife Ann Tanner were the founders of the Bondurant family in Virginia.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bondurant-22

But a different version of the family lineage keeps popping up -  a Dr. Joseph Augustine Bondurant, born in 1648 in France, married to Elizabeth Ann Chastain, as the family founder. See on Find A Grave https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/170357117/joseph-augustine-bondurant

His child is shown to be Jean Pierre Bondurant 1678 - 1734, married to Rhoda Ann Faure.

I know Find A Grave has a lot of misinformation but I have seen this version of the family history in different forms in a few other places. Is it entirely incorrect or was there a Dr. Joseph Augustine Bondurant who was one of the early family founders ?

On Wikitree, the only Dr. Joseph Augustine Bondurant is the SON of of Jean Pierre and Ann Tanner who married Agnes Elizabeth Radford. Is this correct ??  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bondurant-21

And who was 'RHODA ANN FAURE', or 'ANN FAURE' ?  Was she the daughter of Daniel Faure and Mary Chastain Faure ?

not sure if this will help much, but the widow Faure, with children; Jean Pierre Bondurand; & Pierre Chastain, with wife and children, were all aboard the Mary and Ann (one of five ships bringing Huguenot refugees to Virginia in 1700 & 1701. See https://www.huguenotmanakin.org/manakintown-huguenot-ship-list

It would be interesting to find out if Joseph Bondurant was actually buried in France. Sometimes on FindaGrave you can ask to have a photo taken of the gravestone and some volunteer will actually go and do that.

He did die very young and that's why he didn't have any other children. From the information there it seems that his wife never remarried. She was somewhat young to never have married again.
