Hi Wikitreers,

We have been working on the 106th New York Regt. and have been able to connect the Bromling or Bromeling boys to their parental lineage. This is a St. Lawrence County New York family which appears to have suffered the loss of two of their sons Thomas Bromeling (1839 - 1864) and Martin Bromeling (1837 - 1864) all in the same year. The grief they endured can’t be imagined but I’d like to with collaboration add profiles for this family group. It appears the son Jacob even though age eligible did not join in the Civil War as his brothers?

Any collaboration is appreciated sourcing

Thank you

P.s. variation of the LNAB is Bromeling and Bromling. Sadly both brothers served in Company C

Note: Their sister Mary Ann (Bromeling) Clute (1829 - 1911) in her obit mentions her brothers deaths during the Civil War

Also the sister Rachel Bromeling (1842 - 1865) apparently passed away in 1865 making the tragic loss of two sons compounded with the loss of a daughter

WikiTree profile: Thomas Bromeling
