Hi Anita,

Lawrence (Launcelot) Dowdall was the son of Edward Dowdall of Athlumney. Lawrence is listed in the 1641 Proprietors of Cavan with extensive land.  (Source is: The Breifny Antiquarian Society’s Journal 1925-26 Vol II No.III) 1627 is the earliest I have records for Edward of Athlumney having lands in Co. Cavan
