My name is Nicola Devenish, and I am passionate about uncovering the roots and stories that shape our family’s legacy. Over the past five years, I have dedicated myself to genealogical research backed by DNA evidence, uncovering connections that span centuries and continents. This journey has taken me through records, photographs, and family lore, bringing to light fascinating ancestors, including soldiers, landowners, and people who helped shape communities in both Ireland and the United States.
My family roots trace back to the Devenish family in Roscommon and the historic regions of Frenchpark and Strokestown, as well as notable connections to the King family of Elphin. Through this project, I hope to honor these ancestors and preserve their stories for future generations.
