I just stumbled across the work of Julius Gay (1834–1918) of Farmington, Connecticut, and I always find it a bit sad when good genealogists have thin profiles and connections.
I was able to write a bio for him based on the thorough obit from NEGHS, but his mother, wife and daughters are all missing profiles.
I don't have the time to add them, but maybe someone else does? It shouldn't be too challenging: His wife has a profile at FindAGrave (at least) and the obit noted about 8 generations of his mother's descent from the Thomson family.
