Wondering why the surname Vice for children in some families, when the parents have different surnames. Is it a title of some sort and not their surname, or? A couple of the family groups were born in S Africa, but some had no location clues. In another family group, that had a bunch of ".......Vice" children, the parents are both men, (neither with surname Vice) that each had wives, not linked to the children with Vice surname. Had added the "problem" category to them, but wondering if there is just something I don't understand about the use of Vice as a surname in other cultures.
