G2G: Where to find records for the Malay community in South Africa?

Question

I am trying to add profiles for Muhsin Hendricks, a Miuslim imam from the Malay community in Cape Town. It is said his grandfather was also a notable Islamic scholar, but I have not been able to confirm a name. 

I suspect Shaykh Muhammad Ṣāliḥ Hendricks (1871-1945) is a relative, but have not been able to confirm there is an actual connection. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
