There may be a Newcomb connection...not sure

Why can't I find his birth certificate if I know for sure he was born October 24 1918 in London Ontario and His Mother's name was Ida but if I knew his fathers first name I t would help in my search

I know Williams father died when he was a boy and he possibly worked with the railroad,,,,update April 30th 2016.....William's father was Neil Harold Watson 1892-1925 and he died when Billy was only six years old in a terrible accident .

His mother Ida remarried and became Ida Hogg but I never met her

I found a border crossing record(visit) ? where William Angus Watson and his Mother Ida Hogg  were mentioned,,,that was in 1938

Update,,,April 30 2016, William is buried in Greenwood Cemetary,Ridgetown,Harwood twp,Chatham-Kent County along with his grandfather Angus Watson and grandmother Amelia Watson,,,,and,,,,his great grandfather James Watson and Mary (McVicar) Watson along with other  relatives.

I am so grateful to the geneological community for finally finding these connections.

The birth registrations for 1918 have not been released yet.

The Archives of Ontario has made Microfilm copies available through to 1917. Ancestry's dataset ends in 1913, and FamilySearch only has up to 1911 available.

Sometime next year I would expect the 1918 microfilm available - or you could try your luck with newspaper announcements.

William Anus Watson married Jean probably 1941,,,Toronto area,,,,but,,,,my sister said she's got the original marriage certificat e and my mom listed her last name as Brodie which was Jean's mother's(Marion Brodie's) maiden name.  Marion reverted to Brodie after her husband Joseph McLaren Murphy died when my mother was a girl

Thankyou Wayne....this border crossing  was the only info I had and that is where I learned about my father's birth details,,,,but I didn't know my fraternal grandmother was a registered nurse just like my maternal grandmother,,,,,plus that she went to Michigan,,,,plus her father in laws name,,,,as far as I know she didn't have any children with  Mr Hogg perhaps  she did.   Thankyou muchly
Yes please Wayne re the documents,,,,,also thankyou for your patience as I stumble around learning the ropes here,,,,I sometimes forget the answers you have already given me,,,,hmmmm,,,,,hows this for an excuse,,,I lived 68 yrs without knowing them,,,can't get used to finally having them,,,,either that or my 'senior' moments
