G2G: Younger Welborn & Jones, Mississippi

Question

I ran across some info on the Welborn line on the "Renegade South" web site.  I  appreciate any help in proving this Younger Welborn  is the Younger Welborn listed in Roster of Captain Newton Knight, Jones County, Mississippi   

The site also mentions Indiana Welborn the daughter of Lawrence Welborn The site has a lot if information and is a great read for any one with ancestors from the area.

did you see this ? http://www.uncpress.unc.edu/browse/page/245  if you go down towards bottom it has some info on Younger Welbourn who was one of the Knight Company men , according to this In 1751 Younger Welborn's great-grandparents (William and Isabel Teague) arrived in North Carolina from Maryland .I see you have his great grand parents as James and Isabel Teague so don't know if this helps or not. If you do find out it is the same Younger Welborn wiki does have a category for the Knight Company  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Knight_Company%2C_US_Civil_War

Wow great information  I do not have much information on the earlier family of Younger Welborn.  He is not in my direct line. I am his third great grand niece. I just ran across this information while looking for my direct line.

 There are several Welborn and Younger and Teague families listed  here  I just found this and thought it was useful. 

"As New Light preachers moved into the South Carolina-Georgia backcountry, many Regulator families followed their paths. Several sons and daughters of James Welborn Sr. and James Younger moved from North Carolina to the Pendleton district of South Carolina's old Ninety Six District. In 1788, under the leadership of the Reverend Moses Holland, they helped establish the Big Creek Church near the Saluda River. In 1801 James Welborn Jr., a nonslaveholder, served as a deacon. These families had successfully reestablished themselves as solid citizens of the South Carolina backcountry.[44]  The Welborns' kinsman, outlawed Regulator Joshua Teague, fled across the North Carolina border around 1770 ... "

I believe this is William "Billy" Welborn born between 1800 and 1805 in Anderson Co. SC. and died bef 1900 possibly in Soso, Jones Co. Ms. He married Sarah Elizabeth Bryant......they are my GGG grandparents. They had a son William Younger Welborn. Their daughter, Elizabeth Welborn md. William M. Hopkins (my direct family lines).

I dp not think the William William you have in the Civil War is the same one  I say this because William Younger Welborn is living in Jones County Mississippi  from 1850 until his death.  I would agree that the information on Find a Grave may be him. The dates, locations and spouse  do match.  

Do you have source information on his son William Younger Welborn? I have not seen him listed on the few Census's I have   I do think have your relative Elizabeth Welborn F  age 11 Born in Mississippi listed in the 1850 Census.   Do you have a link for  Elizabeth Welborn's WikiTree profile?

I don't know about the Welborn family other than what I found.

Thought the cemetery comment might be relevant.

Did not find Indiana Welborn, daughter of Lawrence Welborn.
