G2G: was Verland COLE married to Bonnie GAY, and did they have children?

Danville, Illinois - Verland Cole 1919 - 1970 (my granddad), was with a woman named Bonnie GAY birth 1921-1925. My mom (Verland's dau) remembers this woman as a step mom? And a child with the nick name Zeke (Zeke would have been born 1949 - 1951 area. I do not know if Verland and Bonnie were actually married, my mother said he introduced her as his wife. And she barely remembers Zeke, but was somewhat certain Zeke was a nick name, not his true name. I also have no actual dates besides the range mentioned above.

Of course, because the birth date 1949+ Zeke is still alive so privacy kicks in .  I discovered when you go to the community newspaper there were 1. birth announcements listed 2. in the obituaries it will mention the remaining family.  So if you have the date. check 2-5 days later for the obituary and it will mention Zeke.  Then 411.com and you might even get a phone number.  It worked for me.
