G2G: Who is Thomas C. Usrey 10 Aug 1822 - 25 Jun 1898 Tennessee, parents?

hello, I am doing research on my late husband's family one of his ancestors was Usrey 


Samuel Usrey (1780 - 1833)

Thomas C Usrey (1822 - 1898)
son of Samuel Usrey
Nancy Myra Usrey (1865 - 1940)
daughter of Thomas C Usrey
William A Goodson (1866 - 1925)
husband of Nancy Myra Usrey

William A. Goodson and Nancy Myra were my husband's great grandparents . On ancestry i found information that states that  William Ussrey 1740-1811 and Sarah Bayes 1740-1831 would be Samuel Usrey 1780-1833 parents . but he is not  listed as a child of theirs so i am hoping to find someone who would know more
