I found a photo album with 59 photo cards from 1870 - 1920 for the Gartley and related families of Lake County, Illinois. I have only matched one name with the photos so far, but I know quite a bit about the families who are likely in the album. The album belonged to my late wife's great uncle's wife, Ethel May Gartley Marsden (Gartley-42) 1893 - 1968. It appears the album was made by Ethel's mother, Margaret Hoffman Gartley, or grandmother, Margaret Jane McClintock Gartley.
I have attempted forensic photo analysis only a few times before, but this album intrigues me because the people lived in Lake County, Illinois, where I have lived for the last 40 years. So far, I've managed to number the photos and scan them, being careful to note their position in the album. I uploaded the photos to google photo and shared them at this URL. Some of the photos had names written on the back. I have added comments to the shared photos with the names or notes written on the back of the photos.
Should I upload the photos to wikitree? I uploded a few of Ethel Gartley's baby photos to her profile, but most of the other photos have not been positively identified.
