I am searching for living lineal male descendants of Edmond (Edmund) Lewes (Lewis) (1601-1651) of Watertown and Lynn, Massachusetts [Lewes-85] for participation in a DNA branching study.

Edmond's sons were John (1630-1710) [Lewes-105], Thomas (1633-1709) [Lewes-104], James (b. 1635) [Lewes-116], Nathanell (1639-1683) [Lewes-117], Joseph (1645-1675) [Lewis-538] and perhaps Benjamin Lewis of Stratford, Connecticut (1666-1700) [Lewis-6]. Contact me by PM at [Lewis-10266].

I'm a descendant of Edmund Lewis of Lynn.  Happy to help any way possible!  Would love to join any Lewis groups and find further info on this lineage.

I show Edmund Lewis in my genealogy as the son of my ggggranfather George Lewis, born 1562, Lianishen, Glamorganshire, Wales.  He was married to Katherine Mathews.  I show his son as Edmund Lewis, 1601..died 1550 in Lynn, Essex Co, Mass.

What documentation do you have that show that Edmund Lewis, son of George Lewis of Glamorgan, Wales, born in 1601, was on the ship Elizabeth out of Ipswich, Suffolk, England, bound for Massachusetts Colony in 1634, with his wife Mary (surname unknown) and two sons John and Thomas, born in Ipswich in 1631 and 1633?
