Benson Steenberge born about 1858-? We believe in Bangor,Franklin County, New York.  Father is civil war veteran William Henry Steenberge and Christine (Gibbs) Steenberge. His father died in December 1865 after being discharged in october 1864 per surgeons report being disabled and served in the 106th New York Infantry company H with his brother in law John C. Gibbs. His wife died before 1874 per newspaper article the farm went to creditors leaving the children. So they had two kids Benson & Mary and we want to know what happened? We believe Benson married March 19, 1885 in Malone, New York. We don’t know spouses name. We need help with resources and categorization and genealogy. Who were his kids if he had any? When did he die? Any Find a grave info? Etc. Any help is appreciated. Thank you wikitree family

I've found a Phelicie Marley in the 1880 census with Benson. She is 12 years old. Do you think that's who he married? Also a Celille Marley who is 17.

Yep. I'm thinking that the transcription was in error. I didn't see any children named Delice in the record so I am assuming that the first and last names of the wife were transcribed awfully.
