Thanks for your message, Janet. Unfortunately none of the links in your message on my profile page seem to be working. ('your tags', url for Help:projects, Videos) - all lead to error messages or 'page does not exist'.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Thanks, Debi. I've compared everyone in my Gedcom and am now going through the process of adding new people. One issue I have come across is that some of my RAWES family are already listed, but the surname is spelled RAWSE (e.g. Rawse-4). On the 'edit' page I can't change the original name, even though all known records of these people have the spelling RAWES. I suspect somewhere at the top of the original Gedcom someone had the alternative spelling and the program then automatically passed it on to all descendants. I messaged the owner of these RAWSE individuals but haven't had a response.
Thanks for your note, Margaret. I checked and the profile manager is still active at WikiTree so you should hear back from them soon. There is a process in place if you do not. but it takes a while as we provide plenty of time for people who might be away from the computer for any number of reasons. Debi
