Hi Judy - I'm thinking of changing the 1891 and 1901 census sources for Beatrice Maud (Schollar) Andrewartha (1885-1919) as I have reasons to believe the ones attached are for a different Beatrice (see comment on her page). As you have substantially contributed to this profile I thought I would give you a heads up in case you don't agree.

Hello distant cousin. I'm just commenting as I had noticed you recently edited several profiles and had incorrectly changed the current last name. In case you're unaware I'd like to point out the naming custom of women in Québec/New France was is that they keep their maiden name throughout their lives, only perhaps appearing under their husband's name in Census records. It's really only in the case of protestent marriage after the 18th century (up until 1980 as it became law) and of couples that moved from Québec to other regions that women would officially take the name of their spouse.

Just something to think about going forward if you're going to be editing or creating French-Canadian profiles.

All the best,

Michel

Happy birthday, Cousin Judy from Judith!
Hi Judy,

We're contacting you for the annual Australia Project membership checkin. We really appreciate your involvement in the Project in the last year. Thank you so much for all your help to improve Australian profiles on WikiTree.

Please could you reply to this message, or send me a private message to let us know if you'd like to stay on in the Project, and if you'd like to make any changes to the teams that you belong to. The teams are listed on Australia Project Teams.

If you've moved on to other things for the moment, that's absolutely fine. We'd appreciate if you'd let us know so that we can remove you from the membership list.

Over the past year, Australia Project members have been more active on Discord. We're finding it a fun way to communicate as a project. As you are already a member of the dedicated Australia Project server (WikiAustralia) where all our chat channels are located, we hope you'll join the chat! It's a great way to communicate with other members on your project team/s, or for any general questions.

We're always happy to receive any ideas or suggestions that you have to make our project even better.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Australia Project Leadership Team ~ Gillian, Margaret and Veronica

Thanks, Margaret, I'd like to stay on. My focus is West and South Australian profiles although I do often stray to ancestors in other countries or even occasionally random profiles.

Hi Judy, thanks for all your great work creating and improving profiles, much appreciated. Just one thing, you've been adding the top level categories, South Australia and Western Australia to some profiles. As top level, they shouldn't be added to profiles, you'll see the affected profiles on this list and this one. You'll need to scroll down and you'll see the ones with South Australia and Western Australia.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated, regards, Margaret

G'day, Judy. Thank you for all your past work with the Australia Project! This is just to touch base with you as you may not be aware that Project Australia has been restructuring some of our Teams, specifically what was under "Profile Improvers". We've decided to split into four related but separate teams underneath the "umbrella" of Profile Improvement: namely, Sourcerers, Data Doctors, Biography Builders, and Connectors & Arborists. As your name is on the current Improvers Team member list, we've placed you on the teams as indicated by your stated interests (or all of them if nothing is indicated). If you'd like to continue as things are, there's no need to respond in any way (although you are more than welcome to do so). If you'd like to change, add, or subtract a team (or teams), you could let us know which one or more of the new Teams you'd like to continue with going forward by replying to this message, editing in (or out) your area(s) of interest on the relevant page(s), or contacting me by private message (or on discord — where each Team now has its own channel on the WikiAustralia server). Looking forward to working with you! (If you've already made changes, feel free to ignore this message.)

Hi Judy,

It's time for the annual Australia Project membership checkin. Thank you so much for contributing to the project and Australian profiles on WikiTree during the last year. We really appreciate you!

If you would like to stay in the project, please reply to this message or send me a private message to let us know that you would like to stay on. Alternatively, if your WikiTree and research interests have moved away from Australia, please let us know and we can remove you from the membership list for the moment. You will, of course, be very welcome to rejoin the project down the track whenever you want to.

We are also keen to know if you want to make any changes to the team or teams that you want to focus on. Take a look on Australia Project Teams to see what teams there are to choose from. If you want to discuss this, or have any questions or suggestions about the Australia Project we'd love to hear your ideas.

Thanks for taking the time to get back to us!

Good afternoon Judy. I received a request for you to be given access to Vivianne Trevithick's profile. I was going to grant it, but I see that someone else beat me to it.
posted by Mark Trevithick
Thanks, Mark. I think you must have already hit the accept button. I've been working on unconnected Nankivell's and after connecting one I found his sister, Thirza, was already there. I've added a bit of info; I have a bit that someone( I think it must have been Patricia T born 1954) sent me year's ago in my family history file, hence some of the specific dates that I may not have sources for. Doing my best to look for sources for what I already have though. I'm away for a few days so may not get much added - we'll see. :-) Looks like you are not closely connected to this Trevithick family either?

Hi Judy,

We're so happy to see you are still active on WikiTree and caring about the Dutch profiles. The Dutch Roots Project is looking forward to give the project a new fresh start to put the Dutch in a more prominent place on the WikiTree map. The project is currently managing over 50,000 profiles and the total number of Dutch profiles on WikiTree exceeds 500,000! Within the project we are monitoring the quality of the Dutch profiles and assisting other WikiTreers in producing those profiles. We would love to pick up some other tasks but to do so we need more volunteers. This is why we check in with the members of the DRP to see if you would like to help us expand.

1) Would you like to do some volunteer work for the Dutch Roots Project? 2) If yes, what kind of work would you prefer to do within the Dutch Roots Project? E.g. translating, sourcing, or something else you want to work on?

We hope for a positive reaction but please don't feel obliged to volunteer. We just want to have a group of persons we can ask to help us with certain activities

Kind regards,

Margreet, on behalf of the Dutch Roots Project

Hi Margreet, I've been focusing on non-Dutch profiles in the last 18months as I've had free access to online Ancestry Library edition due to Covid restrictions. Whenever I search for Dutch connections it sends me back to Wiewaswie so I figure I can continue with this Dutch work when the Ancestry offer ends(end of 2021). My main interest is in profile improvement including sources so perhaps next year I can be more involved here?

Kind Regards, Judy

Hi Gillian, Thank you for the email. I'm currently working through my Watchlist and trying to improve all my early profiles. In doing this I'm also sometimes adding spouses, especially where I can see that they connect to someone else on WikiTree. My main focus has been WA and SA but I've also worked on a few family trees for some friends so this has brought in Vic and Tasmania. Once I've done this I'm happy to work on some of the Maintenance projects - like gedcom cleanups - hate seeing these awful profiles! I also love the challenge of connecting families. :-)

Cheers, Judy
