G2G: Who is the 1st wife of Joseph Costley born 1798-1835 Union Arkansas

hi..my name is Kimberly Johnson..my parents divorced when I was young ..my mother remarried and moved from California to Pennsylvania..I don't know much about my fathers side of the family .I had very little contact with them.. But I do remember my grandmother telling me she was half Indian.my fathers name was Kermit Elton Howard ..and my grandmother was Margie Alice Miller.I have done some research and have found my gggggrandfather was Joseph Costley and the only information I can find out about his wife is her name was Cherokee McIntyre died 1827 union arkansas

I am also descended from Joseph Costley, Cherokee McIntyre.  I am trying to find more information about her.  Where did you get your information about Cherokee?  This is the first I've seen her name.

Kermit Elton Howard 27Nov1937 LA - 30Jan1992 Tulare LA - father also Kermit Elton Howard (1916-1992) married to Margie Alice Miller  on 2 Mar 1937 - his Father was R H Miller and Mother -Ollie A Prock.

Margie Alice Miller (1919-1988) - Father Frank Miller, Mother Fromie Thompson.

I think we're all a little confused here.

Joseph Costley was born 1822 in Arkansas, married Elizabeth Wilhelm.(Her brother Henry lived near them or with them, as noted on census records) He lived until 1907. I have in fact seen his

One of their children was David F. Costley, married to Deliah White, of whom my father is decended from. A daughter of theirs is Sarah Costley married Thompson. Another daughter, Catherine Costley, married Swain.  

Interesting thing is Joseph, and his children filed for recognition of Cherokee blood in 1907. I've got some of those documents saved.  It was rejected for lack of evidence.  Joseph, who was pushing 90 claims he was born to parents he doesn't remember, and I suspect it was James Costley who died in 1834 and the UNK Cherokee with a stated name on application of McIntyre.

I have been unable to locate any further actual FACTS about Joseph's birth...

My paternal Great Great Grandmother was Catharine Costley Swain through her daughter Mollie May Swain, who 1st married Thomas Harvey Lancaster, and after his death, 2nd married Phillip Henry.
