G2G: Please vote on the Finalized Plan for Prussia-Poland Categories [closed]

Question

It's time to vote on the proposal I have submitted for Prussian categories:  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Categorization_structure_for_Prussia

Discussion has been going on for a couple of months now, but the G2G proposal post can be found here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1504700/proposal-category-structure-prussia-outside-present-germany?show=1508010#a1508010

I feel like we have reached a point where everyone is satisfied with the current proposal.  Please only UPvote below in the appropriate comment.  If you disagree with the structure YOU MUST EXPLAIN WHY (perhaps you didn't feel you had the chance to add your opinion in the original proposal?)  All opinions matter.

I added two things to the CIB (not necessarily requiring approval), for clarification:

 |name= full historical location name

 |aka=full present day location name

The full present day location name is sensible.
The historic name in the CIB is less clear to me. The kreis and province boundaries and names changed during the 19th Century. I have used the simplified name Posen so that I did not have to differentiate between Großherzogtum Posen  (1815-1848) and Provinz Posen (1848-1920).

Steve, not sure if this helps, I created a test DE on one of the Poland categories I created here:

Toggling between DE, EN, PL you can see how they are connected.  I also added the name change history below the CIB.  Name changes are not always available, but when it is, I think it's helpful to add it.  

The only issue I see is not having the Kreis in the name.  When selecting the town from the widget on the profile, it only says Bergstein, Westpreußen.   Eventually there could be two or more Bergsteins.  Without the Kreis how will someone be able to identify the correct one?  Bergstein, Konitz, Westpreußen would solve that.

The name change history you have added is very helpful. It seems to me the simplest way to identify the same village even if the government regions change. I also like the link you have added to Kartenmeister which is very helpful to look at name changes over time.

My preference is to use the simple two tier location categories. I agree that there could be more than one village with the same name in a province. Then I would happily add the kreis to distinguish between the villages.

This is addressed the proposal:

Formal Tier in Category Structure Prussian category structure for counties and villages are ONLY in the German language (de). (Kreis = County for clarification)

*Category: Preußen and Category: Prussia = country

**Category: Posen, Preußen and Category: Posen, Prussia = province, country (parent & parent1)

***Category: Meseritz (Kreis), Posen = county name (Kreis), province

****Category: Meseritz, Posen = town, province

If the circumstance exists where there is more than one village with the same name in the same province, the county should be added to the lowest tier: [[:Category: Meseritz, Meseritz, Posen]].
