I have in my vintage post card collection of antiques a beautiful post card that is in good condition with no tears and legible writing titled “Lake Pocotopaug From Shore, East Hampton, Conn.” 

Post mark date: Sept. 5, 1935 although it could be Sept. 3, 1935

It’s postage paid with a 1 cent stamp 

The addressee is a 

Mrs. Wm. Hoffman 

1795 Riverside Drive

N.Y. City, NY

The Sender:  the Schnell Family?

I’m looking for collaboration in finding the William Hoffman at this address in 1935 so I can connect this vintage postcard to its proper genealogy. They should be in a 1930 census?

Also the Schnell family genealogy of the sender

That’s them it matches the addy!

I looked through a bunch of William Hoffmans but couldn’t find the match. 

This helps connect the post card to them; now have to figure out who the Schnells are and how they fit into the picture  

I was surprised at the age of Wm. Hoffman much older than I realized. Interesting

“When Marie Paulus was born on 2 May 1864, in Santander, Cantabria, Spain, her father, Victor Paulus, was 27 and her mother, Anna Victoria Iturri, was 22. She married Friedrich Wilhelm "William Frederick" Hoffmann in 1885. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She lived in New York City, New York, United States in 1920 and Queens, New York City, New York, United States in 1930. She died on 3 January 1965, in Long Island City, Queens, New York City, New York, United States, at the age of 100, and was buried in Milford, Pike, Pennsylvania, United States.“
