The Mayflower Society requires documentation from yourself back to the Mayflower member who you claim to descend from. This requires that you provide documentation such as birth, death, marriage, wills, etc. and documents that start with yourself to prove the relationship to each generation back to the Mayflower ancestor. The Mayflower society states that only in special cases where the paper trail is insufficient will they consider DNA, on a case by case basis, and an example of that would be to prove for one generation the relationship between a father and son. You can not use just DNA evidence to prove your lineage.
