G2G: HELP have hit a brick wall with John Male

HELP - I have hit a brick wall with my 3rd great grandfather, John Male. I would like to find out who his parents were and whether there were any other siblings. Army papers spell his name as Mail, marriage entry Maile and death entry as Male.  Born approx.1756 in South Petherton in Parish of Kingsbury Episcopi.
