G2G: People keep perpetuating fake parents for John Cotton

John Cotton of Bertie has had his parents set as Sir Thomas Cotton and Margaret Howard. This seems inaccurate and the comments mention these parents being removed before and that the line is wrong, but Adam Hall recently re-added them. Has there been a new development or just a willful lie slipping under the radar? Can we please put this to rest, maybe by locking the profile?

I have drawn this to the attention of the England Project. If - as seems highly probable to me - there is a history of fake genealogy, they may want to protect Sir Thomas Cotton's profile. He did have a son John, who inherited the Cotton baronetcy, and has a profile here. He was not the unsourced John Cotton of Bertie.

I have now adopted the profile for further work.
